Yulie Foka-Kavalieraki is a post-doc researcher at the National Technical University of Athens with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation and she holds a PhD in the Philosophy of Social Sciences from the University of Athens.
She is a member of the scientific board of the Liberty Forum of Greece “Markos Dragoumis” and co-founder of LearnLiberty.gr.
She has a MSc in Cognitive Sciences and her research focuses on decision making, rationality, behavioral economics and bioeconomy. For her doctoral research, she received the Heraclitus II European scholarship program. Before that, she completed her master’s dissertation at the A´ Neurological Clinic of Eginition Hospital, working in the fields of neuropsychology and neurolinguistics. She also holds a BA in English Studies and a BA in Italian Studies from the University of Athens.
She has been teaching rational choice theory and economic psychology at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Athens for several years, she has published her work at peer-reviewed international and Greek scientific journals and she has participated in numerous conferences, lectures and seminars in Greece and elsewhere with oral presentations or as an invited speaker. She is the writer of Economic Psychology: A Short Introduction (Athens: Papadopoulos, 2017).
